San Bernardino and Riverside counties are underneath flash flood warnings Friday morning.

The Nationwide Climate Service issued the warnings early Friday morning after “Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain” have been noticed within the Inland Empire.

As much as 2.5 inches of rain is feasible in Riverside County, and 1.5 inches is estimated to have fallen in San Bernardino County.

The general public is warned to remain away from “creeks and streams, city areas, highways, streets and underpasses,” the NWS stated.

Particularly, the NWS warned of hazard across the York burn space in San Bernardino County, the place meteorologists anticipate “life-threatening flash flooding.”
