Farmington, N.Y. — An Ontario County man has been charged after a hit-and-run in Ontario County on Friday afternoon.
At round 3:43 p.m., deputies responded to a motorized vehicle accident on the intersection of Route 96 and Mertensia Highway.
Deputies had decided {that a} Hyundai Elantra was touring southbound on Mertensia Highway when a Toyota 4-Runner was trying to make a left flip and had did not yield the appropriate of manner when the 2 automobiles collided.
The driving force of the Hyundai Elantra was injured within the crash and was transported to FF Thompson Hospital, whereas the opposite automobile fled the scene.
Deputies later caught the motive force of the Toyota 4-Runner, Jonathan Volpe, 41, Canandaigua, who was charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, failing to yield the appropriate of manner, and working a motorized vehicle with a suspending license.
